PHII Board Members to Speak on National Population Health Webinar

Dr. Tom Wilson, PhD, DrPH, founder and board chair of Population Health Impact Institute (PHII), will be speaking on a national webinar for HIMSS on Wednesday, March 18 at 12 EST. The webinar, Population Health Management: Moving Toward Patient-Centered, Value-Driven Care, will focus on the overarching theme of “real-time evidence” and how it can be used to make decisions in today’s healthcare world. Dr. Wilson will also discuss current trends in population health models and how health care providers and payers are utilizing technology to empower stakeholders to improve wellness and care outcomes.

Dr. Joel Brill, MD, FACP, Medical Director for FAIR Health, Inc., and board member for PHII, will join Dr. Wilson as a co-presenter. Dr. Brill will describe the final guidelines and requirements of the Chronic Care Management CPT Code and how the new code will create incentives for providers to expand care management services and enable population health management. Dr. Wilson and Dr. Brill will also be joined by Dr. Lisa Dahm, PhD, University of California, Irvine, who will provide additional insight on how to leverage healthcare analytics to effectively drive better population health management.
